This page explains how to actually use AurInfer Labs, in plain language. Follow the steps and click what is written; you do not need to know any technical terms.
1. Creating a character
- Click the button that creates a new character on the Home page.
- Type a name for your character.
- Write how they should behave in one or two sentences (for example: “kind teacher who explains slowly”).
- Choose a voice if you want them to talk in voice chat.
- Save.
Now your character is ready for chat and for Discord.
2. Talking to your character (text)
- Open your list of characters.
- Click the character you want.
- Type your message in the chat box.
- Press Enter.
- Keep chatting like a normal messaging app.
You can ask questions, roleplay, or just talk. There is no special command needed for basic chat.
3. Using voice with your character
To talk by voice instead of typing:
- Make sure the character has a voice selected.
- On Discord, join a voice channel.
- Use the command shown in your server (for example, the one that makes the bot join the call).
- Speak normally into your microphone.
- Wait a moment; the character will answer with their own voice.
If the bot is too quiet or too loud, adjust its volume from Discord’s user volume controls.
4. Discovering new characters (Explore page)
- Open the Explore page.
- Scroll and look at different characters.
- Use search or filters if you are looking for something specific (for example “teacher”, “anime”, “English practice”).
- Click a character card to open its profile.
- From the profile you can:
- Start chatting with it on the website.
- Add it to your Discord server using the invite button.
You do not need to edit anything to just try a public character.
5. Using characters on your Discord server (basic flow)
Once a character is invited to your server:
- Go to any text channel where the bot has permission to read and send messages.
- Mention the bot or use the simple chat command shown when you first invited it.
- Type your message and send.
- The character will reply in the channel, as if it were another user.
For voice:
- Join a voice channel.
- Use the voice join command for that bot. (or ask it to join the vc if it supports tools)
- Talk normally; the bot will answer back in the call.
If it ever stops replying, check that it is still online and has permission in that channel.
Note: Make sure that you give time to the bot to talk back and reply. If you keep talking continuously (even background sounds) can cause it to abort the reply. Please mute yourself after speaking and let it reply, a bot talks to only one person at a time.
6. Basic account usage
A few simple habits keep things smooth:
- If something feels slow, check your Account > Overview page later to see how much you used today.
- If you reach limits often, consider upgrading your plan from the billing page.
- If a bot behaves strangely, try editing the character description and saving again, then test it once more.
