# Core Features

AurInfer Labs is packed with features that go far beyond a simple chatbot. Here's everything the platform can do.

## Character Creation

Creating a character takes under 60 seconds.

    Click **Create an AI character** on the Home page, or press the **+** button in the sidebar.

  <Step title="Name Your Character">
    Type a name. This is the display name across all platforms.

  <Step title="Write a Personality">
    Write 1–3 sentences describing how the character should behave. Examples:

    * *"A sarcastic British historian who challenges everything you say."*
    * *"A warm, patient tutor who explains concepts simply and encourages learners."*
    * *"A no-nonsense Discord mod who does not tolerate spam or drama."*

  <Step title="Pick a Voice (Optional)">
    Select from the available voice models. Higher-tier plans unlock professional and custom voice models with more natural intonation.

  <Step title="Save and Deploy">
    Hit **Save**. Your character is instantly ready to chat on the web and invite to Discord.

  The more specific your personality description, the better the character behaves. Mention tone, quirks, topics they love/hate, and how they respond to rudeness.

## Text Chat

Once a character is created:

1. Open **Your Characters** from the sidebar.
2. Click on any character card.
3. Click the **Chat** button.
4. Type a message and press **Enter**.

The character responds just like a real person in a messaging app. No commands, no syntax — just natural conversation.

## Real-Time Voice

AurInfer supports live two-way AI voice. Your character speaks back in real-time using its assigned voice model.

**On Discord:**

1. Join a voice channel in your server.
2. Ask the bot to join (e.g., *"join the vc"*) or use the slash command if configured.
3. Speak into your microphone.
4. Wait a moment after speaking — the bot replies with audio.

  Speak one person at a time. Continuous background noise or overlapping speech can interrupt the bot's reply. **Mute yourself after speaking** and wait for the bot to finish.

## Image Generation

Characters can generate images mid-conversation. Ask your character to draw something, create a scene, or visualize an idea — it will produce an image inline in the chat.

* Available on all plans (limits apply per tier)
* Higher tiers unlock premium image engines with higher resolution and more styles

## Web Search

Characters can search the internet in real time to answer questions with up-to-date information. This makes them useful as research assistants, news reporters, or fact-checkers within your Discord server or chat.

## AI Server Moderation

One of AurInfer's most powerful features. Deploy your character as a full server moderator on Discord:

* **Reads your server rules** and enforces them automatically
* **Takes actions**: warn, timeout, kick, or ban users based on rule violations
* **Sends DMs** to users explaining why they were flagged
* **Logs warnings** in a searchable history table
* **Excludes channels and users** you specify

## Free Will

Free Will lets your character act **autonomously** — it doesn't just wait to be spoken to. You configure how proactive it is:

* **Auto-react** to messages with emojis
* **Smart replies** — jump into conversations unprompted
* **Media generation** — post images or GIFs on its own
* **Voice responses** — speak up in voice channels automatically

The **initiative slider** (0–100%) controls how often it acts on its own.

## Explore Page

The Explore page is a public gallery of characters created by other users.

* Browse without an account
* Search by keyword (e.g., "teacher", "anime", "gamer")
* Click **Chat** to try any character instantly
* Click **Invite to Discord** to add it to your server in 2 clicks
